YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY

It is recommended you not use this trail system alone. If you are using these trails, be sure someone knows where you are and when to expect you back. Stick to your schedule. These trails are not patrolled.

Regulations and Responsibilities

Skiing

There will be days when conditions are such that any trail use is not recommended. Be aware of snow conditions, weather trends, and whether your use will negatively impact the trails for others in the days ahead.
- Skiers must know and accept the risks inherent to the practice of cross country skiing.
- Skiers must always ski in control and be able to avoid other skiers and obstacles.
- Skiers must know that the trail conditions can be altered by sun, wind, rain, or snow.
- Skiers who remove their skis must not walk on groomed tracks. Stay to the edge of the trail.

Skiing is a hazardous sport: bare spots, ice, changing snow, bumps, stumps, stones, trees, and other hazards and obstructions exist in any area. The user of this trail system recognizes such dangers, whether marked or unmarked, and realizes that falls and collisions are common and numerous and that injuries can result, and he/she accepts the hazards of the sport and the danger of injury incident thereto, including negligence and carelessness on the part of fellow skiers.

Grooming is done by volunteers when time permits.
- All trails are not necessarily open every day.
- All trails are not necessarily groomed every day.

Walking/Running

Please do not walk on the trails during the winter season. If you must take off your skis, please keep to the side of the trail. In the summer, please avoid running or walking on wet or muddy trail. Failure to do so will only worsen its condition.

Snowshoeing

Please stay on the edge of the trail at all times. Please do not snowshoe on the tracks set for skiing.

Bicycles

- Always wear a helmet, no exceptions.
- Riders must be in control at all and be able to avoid pedestrians, other riders, and obstacles.
- Riders must know and accept the risks inherent to mountain biking.
- Pedestrians have the right-of-way.
- Please do not ride when trails are wet or muddy.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed under the following conditions:
- Pick up after your dog if it leaves a dog deposit on the trail. No one likes to ski through this stuff, and the groomers spread it out for miles.
- If you dog is aggressive towards other people or other dogs, please leave it home.
- Use good judgment regarding the conditions of the trails when determining if your dog should be with you. There are days when dogs should not be on the trails. If weather is warm and the snow is soft or wet, dogs will "post hole" and leave a mess. If the weather then turns cold and these holes freeze in, the trail becomes unskiable, and is difficult to groom.

Motorized Vehicles

Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trails.
